Miguel Andrés Hernández A.
General Manager

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Hernandez graduated from the Universidad Externado de Colombia as a hotel and tourism business administrator and marketer. Extensive hotel and resort experience was obtained through several executive positions held in hospitality venues both large and small. Also a reputed college professor, specializing in human resource development and sales and marketing, Hernandez now heads the Las Alamandas Resort executive team, assuring great attention to detail and unsurpassed guest satisfaction.


Ing. Martin Perez Sanchez
Maintenance Manager

Martin Perez, originally from the city of Colima, graduated from the University of Guadalajara and has focused his career in the construction and maintenance of luxury properties that feature extreme detail and craftmanship. Among his important projects, he participated in the remodeling of the Cabo Blanco Hotel, the maintenance of the Pueblo Nuevo development, the construction of the imposing and majestic Grand Bay Hotel and Isla Navidad Marina. For more than seven years, he has cared for the naturally exquisite 1500 acres that surround Las Alamandas Resort. Martin's passion and commitment are reflected in his daily work and can be seen and felt around every corner.


José García Lomelí
Resident – Sales Manager

Born in Guadalajara, Garcia moved to the US at a young age where he studied and honed the hospitality skills that allow him to work in an industry that brings him constant satisfaction. Considered somewhat of a “Costalegre expert”, Garcia has lived and worked in this region for over ten years in some of its finest resorts. Discontent with his initial position as a telephone operator, Jose worked hard and strived to attain an inspiring position within the hotels’ operational force. His dedication and focus allowed him to climb the company ladder and he now proudly serves as Resident & Sales Manager for Las Alamandas Resort.


Nunila Montiel Andrade
Housekeeping Manager

A native of Veracruz State, Nunila has lived in the Puerto Vallarta area for over 20 years. Detail oriented and highly focused on impeccable cleaning, she loves to add personal creative touches that leave guests feeling pampered and special. Renowned hotels such as Marriot, Bel-Air and members of Starwoods’ Luxury Collection have all benefited from her services.

Always enthusiastic and receptive, Nunila continuously seeks professional challenges and does everything it takes to make your home away from home, absolutely perfect.



CP Fernando Araiza de León
Comptroller

Originally from  Mexico City, Fernando Araiza started his professional career with one of the five most important accounting firms in the country. Later on, his professional path led him to the successful Posadas de Mexico hotel chain where he was introduced to the hospitality industry. Today, this innovate member of the “Colegio de Contadores Publicos”, has more than ten years of experience in the hospitality industry and is an active, responsible and creative member of our executive team.


Víctor López Herrera
Reservations Manager

Victor has been a part of the Las Alamandas team for over five years and started out as an assistant for the reservations department. With more than ten years working for hotels and resorts, he has focused his efforts on quality control management and personalized client services. Supervising attention from the moment guests contact the hotel, Victor assures the full experience is a perfect one and does it with intuition, professionalism and devotion.


Nazario Medina Pelayo
Food & Beverages

A true Costalegre native, Nazaro started at Las Alamandas more than ten years ago, working in the orchards and nurseries. Ambitious and motivated, he then visited the US to improve his English skills and take some courses in hospitality. After a while he returned and rejoined us as the assistant manager for the housekeeping department. He was later transferred to the Food & Beverage area where he began as a waiter, then supervisor and now manages the department. Nazaro’s vast knowledge includes the perfect handling of organic food, luxuriously presenting it and combining the ideal local, nacional or internacional wine or spirit – all to create an absolutely amazing culinary experience.



Alejandro Aguilar Morales
Chef

Born in the Mexican Pacific, Alejandro started his culinary career in prestigious Puerto Vallarta hotels such as the Camino Real and the Krystal. His specialty, Mexican Cuisine, was nurtured through classes and direct contact with reputed masters such as Patricia Quintana and Luis Fitch.  Alejandro is currently focusing his efforts in the art of preparing organic meals. He truly takes advantage of the vast richness and selection of local ingredients– most, grown in our very own orchards at Las Alamandas.


Mary Carmen
Concierge

Originally from Mexico City, graduated in hotel and tourism administration by the Escuela Bancaria y Comercial. By the Hotel School Institut Vatel the master degree in hotel management, complementing the theorical knowledge with practices in the different areas of the hotel. Realizing part of her studies in France, with experience in the hotel Pierre et Vacances in the French Riviera in the reception.

Afterwards she completed her professional background in Grupo Posadas in the area of Key Accounts. Know she forms part of the staff of las Alamandas as concierge; she is an assertive person in taking decisions and easily working in teams.

 

Jorge Torres
Concierge

Born in Guadalajara Jalisco, Moved to the US to finish his education & learn to speak the English language. Studied 2 years of business management in Van Nuys Valley Collage in California, while studding he worked part time as a host at a family restaurant where he found the passion for guest service & focused on that field. When he returned to Mexico he looked for work in the hotel industry & discovered the virgin beaches of Costalegre, Jalisco where he began working as a front office associate for El Careyes Beach Resort which was managed by Starwood Hotel & Resorts.

After two years he became front office supervisor & later was offered a job in Mahakua Hacienda de San Antonio in Colima where he returned to the Food & Beverage department as a Supervisor where he happily worked for 2 years & was offered a new position as Pool Concierge for starwood’s property The Luxury Collection in Careyes which required the experience of Front office & Food & Beverage. Starwood stopped managing the property in January 2007 & now his a part of Las Alamandas team in the front office department.
