ISABEL GOLDSMITH-PATIÑO

(Proprietor- Las Alamandas)

Born in Paris, Isabel Goldsmith-Patiño is the daughter of the late British financier Sir James Goldsmith and the granddaughter of “Bolivian Tin King” Don Antenor Patiño. Ms. Goldsmith-Patiño presently divides her time between London, Paris, Beverly Hills, and Mexico.

In 1990, Ms. Goldsmith-Patiño developed Las Alamandas, a luxurious resort located midway between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo along the fabled Costalegre Coast of Mexico. This world famous hideaway is situated within a 1,500-acre private paradise of lush tropical gardens, exotic birds and seemingly endless white-sand beaches.

It was Ms. Goldsmith-Patiño’s legendary grandfather who built Las Hadas in Manzanillo, where the movie “10” with Bo Derek was filmed. Mr. Patiño had also planned a major development for Las Alamandas, which he named for the yellow Copa de Oro flowers that grow wild in the region. After he passed away however, Ms. Goldsmith-Patiño revised his project, opting instead to preserve the coastline by creating a small and exclusive, six-villa retreat that she continues to own and manage.

Offering the epitome of seclusion in paradise, Las Alamandas has become the secret retreat for some of the world’s most famous celebrities, discerning travelers, and many others seeking unparalleled beauty and privacy.

Ms. Goldsmith-Patiño has long been involved with a variety of philanthropic endeavors, many of which focus on the environment. Most recently, she has spearheaded various projects to protect and preserve the Mexican coastline.
